SYNOPSIS
Maddy has stopped letting the world see her. After a panic attack in public becomes an online spectacle, she retreats into isolation — until a hidden attic and an unlikely friendship with her neighbour Dorothy begin to challenge the fear that has come to define her life. Don’t See Me is an intimate drama about anxiety, shame and the fragile courage required to be seen again.
THE STORY BEHIND THE FILM
Don’t See Me is inspired by writer Victoria Taylor’s own experience of panic attacks and agoraphobia. The film draws on that experience to explore the gap between what anxiety feels like from the inside and how easily it can be misread from the outside — and the difference it makes when someone offers companionship without judgement.
